Improve Sleep With Neurofeedback
Can Neurofeedback Help with Sleep Difficulties?
Neurofeedback is a safe and very effective method to help in sleep problems with no side effects. Our clients who take part in Neurofeedback training often claim that better sleep was the first sign for them that Neurofeedback is really working. Sleeping pills are not the best answer. At the beginning they will work right away but later on your brain will not respond on them and you will have to increase the dose.
Neurofeedback Gets to the Root Cause of Sleep Issues
As far back as 1982, researchers found that Neurofeedback can improve sleep: “Theta and SMR feedback seemed effective treatments of insomnia according to home sleep logs. According to evaluations at the sleep laboratory, tense and anxious insomniacs benefited only from Theta feedback but not from SMR feedback, while those who were relaxed at intake but still could not sleep benefited only from SMR but not from Theta feedback”.

Treatment of Sleep Difficulties
If you have sleep difficulties you can start to track your sleep patterns and try to change your bedtime routine. Try to relax yourself before sleep. You can read a book, listen to calming music and drink chamomile tea. If these techniques don’t help, you should consider Neurofeedback training – it has been proven to improve quantity and quality of sleep, and we have many clients who no longer experience sleep problems.
Neurofeedback and Sleep Difficulties
Neurofeedback is a very effective method to organize sleep rhythms and stabilize the brain during rapid shifts in sleep state. There are many sleep difficulties which are related to problems in maintaining stable brain function during those shifts: night sweats, panic, migraines, seizures, restless leg, sleep walking, night terrors. Those problems can be improved by Neurofeedback stabilization training. Neurofeedback training can help with insomnia. Physical calming allows people to relax and fall asleep. It reduces muscle tension including bruxism (teeth grinding). It also calms a busy mind, anxiety related to nightmares, fears and hyper-vigilance which might cause troubles with sleep onset.
